BCC has played a leading role in the pan-industry lobby that has resulted in commitment on the part of the UK Government to security of energy supply and reform of the European energy market.  It continues to work through the Energy Intensive Users Group, the Government’s Business Energy Forum, and contacts in the European Commission and Parliament, to ensure full delivery of the commitment given by both the Government and the European Commission towards further market reform.
