Rating
The five yearly revaluation of “rating hereditaments” determines in large part the business rates burden that the industry has to bear. By coordinating the efforts of the specialist rating advisers to the industry’s major companies, the BCC is able to ensure that collective negotiation with the Valuation Office Agency results in an acceptable basis for settlement of individual valuations, and savings from which every company can benefit.
