Skills

The British Ceramic Confederation is committed to working with politicians and civil servants to maximise worker benefits of employment policy without causing detriment to the industry. We engage with government organisations in Whitehall and, through Cerame-Unie, with those in Brussels. We also maintain an open dialogue with the main Trade Unions in the industry.

Employment and Skills

The British Ceramic Confederation is passionate about the future of the industry. This is entirely dependent on the continuous up-skilling of the industry’s current employees and ensuring a supply of skilled young people for tomorrow’s workforce.

BCC engages with skills policy makers and educational institutions and participates in the International Clay Technology Association’s Training and Education Committee to ensure skills needs are met throughout the entire industry.
