Shortlisted entries announced for new Ceramics Industry Decarbonisation awards
The British Ceramic Confederation has announced its shortlisted entrants for the new Industry Decarbonisation awards, being presented as part of the ‘Delivering Net Zero for British Ceramics’ conference in less than a month’s time.
The event will cover a range of updates on activities that are being taken across the ceramics industry, with the awards recognising action that companies and individuals are taking in progressing decarbonisation projects:
Net Zero Business Advocate: Sponsored by Heatcatcher – this award category recognises the dedication, passion, and efforts of individual employees in promoting and delivering carbon reduction. Nominations have been received from Forterra, Hinton Perry & Davenhill, Ibstock, Michelmersh Brick Holdings and Portmeirion.
Employee Engagement: Sponsored by Energy Conscious Organisation, this award recognises company programmes that demonstrate effective engagement with employees in energy and carbon reduction strategies. The shortlisted companies are Forterra, Hinton Perry & Davenhill, Imerys Minerals, Naylor Industries and Portmeirion.
Decarbonisation in Action: Sponsored by Inenco, it recognises projects and initiatives that deliver tangible carbon reduction. Given the breadth of entries received this has now been divided into:
- Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction: The shortlisted entrants are Forterra, Imerys Minerals and Portmeirion.
- Deeper Decarbonisation: The shortlisted entrants are Forterra, Ibstock, Johnson Tiles and Michelmersh Brick Holdings.
